A free, unmetered alternative to Axiom.ai
RowPlay records a browser task once and replays it for every row of your spreadsheet — free, with no runtime hours, no account, and scheduling included. Axiom.ai meters its free plan by runtime and puts scheduling on paid plans.
FREE · NO ACCOUNT · NO RUNTIME HOURS TO TRACK
Short version: Axiom.ai’s free plan starts with 2 hours of runtime; paid plans run $15–$250 a month, and scheduling starts on the $50/month Pro plan. RowPlay has one free tier with nothing metered: record once, paste your rows, and run as many as you like, with dry run, retries, a results sheet and scheduling included. Axiom.ai can also run bots in the cloud; RowPlay keeps everything in your own browser.
One macro. Every row of your spreadsheet.
No hours to watch, however long your sheet is. Record the task, paste your rows, run.
Three steps
- 1
Record the task once. Fill in the form the way you normally would. Each click and field becomes a step, shown in plain English.
- 2
Paste your rows from Excel and link each field to a column — or drop in a .xlsx or .csv file. A normal table with headers works.
- 3
Dry run, then Run remaining. Check the first row, then RowPlay does the rest, one row at a time, in your own browser.
Test before you commit
Dry run fills just the first row. If it worked, Run remaining carries on from row 2, so nothing is entered twice.
Retry only what failed
A failed row doesn’t stop the batch. Afterwards, one click re-runs just the rows that failed.
Resume after a crash
Progress is saved after every row. If the browser closes mid-run, pick up from the first row that didn’t run.
A results sheet
Your rows come back with a status column, the reason for any failure and any values you extracted — ready to paste into Excel.
Every kind of field
Text, dropdowns (including custom menus), checkboxes from yes/no columns, and fields that only appear when a box is ticked.
Values that fill themselves
{{today}}, {{row}} and {{random}} add dates, row numbers and unique codes without a column.

When each one is the better fit
RowPlay is the better fit when…
- You want scheduling and bulk replay without a monthly bill or an hours quota to watch.
- Your task fits comfortably in "record it, then replay it" — no code, no AI prompt needed.
- You'd rather keep everything running in your own browser than hand a bot cloud access to a site.
- You don't want to create an account just to try it.
Axiom.ai is the better fit when…
- You need a bot to run in the cloud, without your own computer staying on.
- You want an escape hatch into real code (Puppeteer/Playwright) for something a recorder alone can't handle.
When Axiom.ai might suit you better
Where each tool fits
- You need bots to run in the cloud while your computer is off. RowPlay runs in your own browser, so the computer needs to be on.
- You want to write Puppeteer code or generate a bot from a prompt. RowPlay records exactly what you do instead — see below for why.
Why RowPlay skips the AI-generated bot
Axiom.ai's Claude integration can build a bot from a text description — genuinely useful for a one-off. RowPlay's answer is a recorder instead: what you click is exactly what gets replayed, every time, with no model interpreting the page live. That means nothing to hallucinate, no per-run inference cost, and no surprise behavior change if a model update shifts how it "reads" a page. See the No AI section on the homepage for more.
